The Ford V-6 Samurai swap mounts is one of our most requested products over the years. Due to lack of demand for all the supporting pieces in one kit, we have stripped down the kit over the years and now offer the pieces independently, so you can build your set-up your way.

If you want power, you need cubic inches, our Ford V-6 brackets allow you to bolt-in the venerable and plentiful Ford 60 degree V-6 family of engines. This includes the 2.8, 2.9 and 4.0 engines found from the mid-70s to the mid-90s.

Do keep in mind though, that with all that new found power you'll probably want to upgrade your axles and t-case. The OE Samurai stuff tends to go click, clunk, bang, BROKE!

What kind of power can you pull with a Samurai V-6 swap?

1.3 Zuk	60 HP @ 6500rpm	76 ftlbs. of torque @ 3500 rpm
1.6 8v	80 HP @ 5400rpm	94 ftlbs. of torque @ 3300rpm
1.6 16v	95 HP @ 5600rpm	98 ftlbs. of torque @ 4000rpm


2.8-Liter	115 HP @ 4600rpm	150 ftlbs. of torque @ 2600rpm
2.9-Liter	140 HP @ 4600rpm	170 ftlbs. of torque @ 2600rpm
4.0-Liter	155 HP @ 4200rpm	220 ftlbs. of torque @ 2400rpm

This is not as easy a swap as the 1.6 Sidekick is, but if you want that extra power that comes with a V-6, then you'll need to put in a little extra work. The Sidekick swap can be done in a weekend, but plan on a few weekends to pull off this swap.
